A few weeks ago I boldly (and perhaps foolishly) agreed to join the #tuesdayserial and #fridayflash movements on Twitter (thanks to Jack Holt, Pete Newman and Tom Gillespie for persuading me so); writing/publishing a serial story every Tuesday and writing/publishing a flash fiction piece every Friday. Obvious really.

Only, because of illness and one thing and another I haven’t managed to do so yet.

So I am going to cheat and point you towards last February’s Watershed Writers Block challenge and my submission: Umami for today’s flash fiction.

That isn’t to say I am not writing anything – my #tuesday serial is started but needs polishing, and I have ideas for #fridayflash – I think I am going to base them around singular events in my week… we shall see.
