—  About

I am Bristol based photographer, with a passion for photography, videography, writing, reading and travelling about in my camper van.

My creative influences ranging from photographers such Vivian Maier, William Eggleston, Martin Parr and Steve McCurry, amongst many others.

In 2024 I have decided to focus on wildlife photography, with the aim of developing my skills, getting outside and having 12 wildlife photographs good enough to put on a wall.

My photographic obsessions are people in landscapes, which is why I have a whole section dedicated to it, and liminal space/transition points, at the boundaries between two or more different things or states or being.

I am slowly but surely getting back into film photography, with a particular fascination for medium format photography. I kinda love my TLR (below).

Photographs have been taken in a variety of formats (analogue and digital) using everything from a 40 year old 6x6 TLR (Yashica 635) to a medium format 645 SLR (Bronica ERTSi), to modern mirrorless digital cameras (Fujifilm X-H1, Fujifilm X-T2, Fujifilm X-T1), as well as various 35mm cameras (Olympus XA2, Nikon FM2N, Nikon F90X) and mobile phones (iPhones generally). Film is developed and scanned by my local lab (Photographique) and the more recent digital stuff is processed using Capture One with older photos processed via Adobe Lightroom.
